My name is Yernar Kalmakhanuly Mazhen, and I was born on April 14, 1984, in Uzynagash village, Zhambyl district of Almaty region, Kazakhstan. I am Kazakh by nationality and a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. I hold a higher education degree. From 2002 to 2006, I studied History at Otyrar University. Between 2007 and 2010, I continued my education at Selçuk University in Turkey, specializing in Islamic History. In 2017–2020, I completed my Master’s degree in Religious Studies at Al- Farabi Kazakh National University. My academic degree is Master of Religious Studies. I began my professional career in 2009 as Deputy Director of the Shymkent madrasa-college under the SAMK. In 2011–2015, I served as the Chief Imam of the Zhambyl district mosque in Almaty region. From 2013 to 2016, I worked as Director of the “Ushkonyr” madrasa-college. In 2016–2017, I held the position of Chief Imam of Karasai district, and in 2017–2019 served as Deputy Imam of the “Orbita” mosque in Almaty. Since 2019, I have been the Chief Imam of the “Taugul-3” mosque. Since 2020, I have been working as a Senior Lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. I am fluent in Russian and Turkish.
